    This Privacy Policy explains how Tutrx (“Tutrx”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use tutrx.org and the Tutrx mobile app (the “Service”), a marketplace connecting clients with specialists for outsourced work and job support.

    Information we collect

    • Account & profile: name, email, phone number, password, professional title, bio, skills, experience, location, and profile photo.
    • Engagement data: bookings, tasks, logged hours, messages, files you share, and reviews.
    • Payment data: processed by Stripe (payments) and Wise (payouts). We do not store full card numbers.
    • Usage & device data: log data, device identifiers, and basic analytics to operate and improve the Service.

    How we use your information

    • Provide and operate the Service (accounts, bookings, engagements, payments, payouts).
    • Send transactional notifications by email, in-app, SMS, and WhatsApp (see our SMS & Messaging Policy).
    • Provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
    • Improve and secure the Service.

    Sharing your information

    We share information with service providers who help us run the Service (e.g. Stripe, Wise, cloud hosting, messaging providers) under appropriate confidentiality terms, with other users only as needed to fulfill an engagement (e.g. a client and the specialist they hire), and when required by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.

    Data retention & security

    We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

    Your rights & choices

    You can access and update your profile in your account settings, opt out of SMS at any time (reply STOP or adjust notification settings), and request deletion of your account by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
